I believe all Alabamians must have clean air and clean water. That is why I will work hard every day as Alabama’s governor to:
- ensure that all Americans have access to clean drinking water and clean air,
- help provide quicker relief to cities and townships affected by chemical leaks or spills,
- support changing out of lead pipes,
- make sure all Americans--especially those living in rural areas and poor communities--have opportunities to tie into sewer or septic systems,
- support modernization of ports and waterways,
- support legislation to reduce Green House Gas 80% by 2050,
- support investment in the Green Jobs Sector,
- help readjust blue collar workers for a greener economy,
- support an all inclusive approach to energy (which includes coal) while exploring greater ways to reduce dependence on foreign oil and investing more into renewables such as solar, wind, hydro, geothermal energy production, and
- support the installation of more electric charging stations across the state.
